‼️This workshop requires Guests to be physically able to hike and walk on uneven, rocky and potentially slippery riverbed. Guests accepts responsibility for their own safety and personal possessions upon registration. Guests are responsible for  bringing weather appropriate clothing and footwear, food and water. A pack list for the day will be provided prior to the event. 

*Minimum 4 guests to run a workshop. Workshops may be reschedule or cancelled if minimum booking is not fulfilled.

Learn how to make wild baskets with owner and adventurer Melba Seto.  

Melba has been working with handcraft since early childhood and over the decades has acquired practical skills in survival and self sufficiency. She spent 7 years as a member of the Royal Canadian Air Cadets and trained as a survival instructor during that time. 

In 2015 Melba was 1 of 4, selected out of nearly 4000 Canadians to be the Woods Canada Ambassador travelling across Canada for 5 months testing gear and sharing her outdoor skills with Canadians. 

This full day workshop includes learning how to forage, harvest and prepare your own wild materials to make a wild basket. 

Basket making tools will be provided in the workshop. 

Guests will need to be able to walk through coarse terrain to harvest materials and be able to spend a full day outside with proper attire.

Guests will need to bring and dress accordingly:

- water, food and snacks

- waterproof footwear (hiking boots, rubber boots)

- extra layers

- hat and gloves
