These mugs are made special to help fundraise for The Little Bee Foundation . 40% of each mug will go to support them.

Beckett Mireault Hickerson, lovingly known as “Little Bee”, was born with hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy and a rare genetic condition, Currarino’s syndrome. He’s since been diagnosed with cerebral palsy. Faced with enough challenges for a lifetime in only his first few months of life, Beckett’s journey is one of unwavering determination and boundless spirit.

Beckett’s mom documents his progress, challenges, triumphs, and the feelings that go along with it all on her blog, where you can learn more about Little Bee and his journey: Little Bee and Me.

Little Bee Gallery is more than just a place to admire art; it's a mission-driven space dedicated to creating Art that Makes a Difference. Our artists channel their creativity into tangible support through donating their time and art to raise awareness and provide resources for children with neuromotor disabilities.

Mug are either made with a coffee clay or a white clay, and will have white or brown-green glaze

Each mug is different and will hold 400-500ml.

Mugs will be shipped in the order they are ordered. Mugs are currently still being made so please allow up to 2-3months to receive your mug.

About The Potter

Melba Seto began pottery in 2010 and within her first year spent over 1000hrs learning the craft.  She began to pursue a dream becoming a professional potter and instructor. Due to unfortunate circumstances her dream to open a studio and continue her passion for teaching others was put on the back burner each time the dream got close to being actualized.

After launching Bowness Soapworks in 2020 and staring to build her dream again to open the pottery studio, it was finally made possible this year- 2023.

These limited pieces not only symbolize a long painful journey of chasing your dreams, but the tenacity and determination of a human can render new beginnings.

The pieces are imperfect as is the process to get to this point. From Melba’s hands to your home- may the imperfections remind you that dreams though sometimes may take a turn- are always possible if you keep trying.

As all pieces are handcrafted, there may be slight variations in terms of size and color compared to the photos and between the different pieces in the same series.
